Playground Golf Foundation Coaching Opportunities
No Golf Experience Required

Salary: $600 - $1,200.00 - $1,200.00 Per Week
This is a seasonal 8 week program
January 29- February 1 and February 5-8
February 12-15 and February 26-29
March 4-7 and 11-14

Overview
The Playground Golf Foundation’s mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
Teaching golf to children in Columbia, Greene, and Northern Dutchess County schools during gym classes between normal school hours. Coaches will need to be on time to set up before the first-period class, help, and support or become the lead coach and help clean up after the last period. $25-50 Per Hour
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Salaries Below (After Taxes - Take Home)
Non PGA - $150 per day
PGA Apprentice $250 Per Day
PGA Member $300 Per Day
Children will range from elementary to middle school. The Playground Golf Foundation’s mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
We don’t just teach golf, we teach the core values of respect, honesty, responsibility, sportsmanship, integrity, perseverance, judgment, courtesy, and confidence through golf.
Candidates must have reliable transportation, a positive attitude, and experience coaching or working with children would certainly help.
A typical 4-day program runs Monday-Thursday from 7 am-3 pm with a break for lunch and some class periods off. Sessions will run 1-2 weeks for an entire PE UNIT. We will run the course for 2 weeks straight and take a week off to recharge our coaches and prepare for a new school setting.
Below are proposed dates that we can visit the schools… These are 2 week programs: Monday - Thursday (if Holiday on Monday / Tuesday -Friday)

February 12-15 and February 26-29
March 4-7 and 11-14
March 18-21 and 25-28

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the SAFETY of participants during training sessions
- Provide supervision of ages and skill levels
- organize practice equipment drills, and assist lead coach
- Teach proper golf etiquette, rules, and strategies
- Monitor and evaluate players' progress and provide feedback for improvement
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment for all participants
Experience:
- Knowledge of Safety Precautions
- Experience in other sports coaching such as karate, judo, martial arts, cheerleading, or lifeguarding is a plus
- Previous experience in teaching, playing, coaching or teaching golf is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children and physical educators
- Ability to provide behavior management and maintain discipline during training sessions
Job Type: Seasonal
Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
