The Golf Cart Driver is responsible for providing safe, courteous, and efficient transportation for customers between the grocery store and designated parking areas. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a golf cart on store property while following all safety guidelines and traffic rules.
- Transport customers to and from the store entrance and parking areas.
- Assist customers with loading groceries into their vehicles when needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and offering assistance.
- Help customers with mobility challenges by ensuring safe boarding and exiting of the golf cart.
- Keep the golf cart clean, charged/fueled, and in good working condition.
- Conduct daily safety inspections of the golf cart and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain awareness of pedestrian traffic and operate the vehicle defensively at all times.
- Assist with retrieving shopping carts and other customer service tasks during slow periods, as assigned.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred (if required by company policy).
- Ability to safely operate a golf cart in a busy parking lot environment.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and coworkers.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds to assist customers with groceries.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
- Ability to enter and exit the golf cart frequently throughout the shift.
- Part-time positions available.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Experience operating small utility vehicles or golf carts.
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
- Deliver a safe, friendly, and efficient transportation service.
- Maintain a positive attitude and represent the store professionally.
- Demonstrate excellent attendance and dependability.
- Contribute to an exceptional shopping experience for every customer.
