JOB SUMMARY

The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service in the pro shop while managing retail sales, tee time bookings, and supporting daily golf operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a golf environment, has retail or customer service experience, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and assist members and guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner at all times.

• Provide accurate and timely information regarding tee times, course conditions, merchandise, and general club inquiries.

• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails in a courteous and efficient manner, ensuring all inquiries are handled or directed appropriately.

• Handle player check-ins and process green fee, cart, and service payments using Jonas and EZLinks systems.

• Operate the POS system for retail sales, issuing receipts and maintaining transaction accuracy.

• Assist with issuing gift cards, rain checks, and returns in accordance with club policies and procedures.

• Manage and schedule tee times using EZLinks reservation software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Maintain up-to-date tee sheet information and communicate with Golf Operations to ensure smooth flow of play.

• Provide support for advanced bookings, group reservations, and guest play coordination.

• Maintain merchandise displays, ensuring they are clean, organized, and visually appealing in line with luxury retail standards.

• Restock shelves and apparel displays as needed, and assist with inventory counts and receiving stock.

• Offer informed product recommendations and guide members and guests in their purchasing decisions.

• Ensure the golf shop remains tidy, organized, and professional in appearance at all times.

• Monitor shop supplies and notify the Golf Shop Manager of restocking needs (e.g., bags, tags, receipt paper, promotional items).

• Assist with tournament and event support, including player check-in, prize table setup, scoreboard updates, and merchandise handling.

• Maintain a high standard of personal grooming and professional appearance in accordance with club dress code and Troon guidelines.

• Exhibit flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and tournament days, as required by the golf operation.

• Contribute to the golf shop’s sales performance; individual and team sales targets may be assigned throughout the year to support retail goals.



WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT

• Primarily indoor work in the pro shop; occasional outdoor duties related to events or guest assistance.

• Interaction with members, guests, and staff in a professional golf setting.

• Stand or walk for extended periods.

• Occasional lifting (e.g., golf bags, supplies).

• Ability to use a computer and office equipment.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
