Whangarei Golf Club is excited to announce a new opportunity within our Golf Shop Team! We're seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Golf Shop, offering a chance to be part of a vibrant community. Whether you have a few hours to spare each week or are looking for more consistent work, we have a place for you. The Golf Shop role will involve greeting members and guests, managing green bookings and cart hires, and supporting club events. As a representative of the club, you'll ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere, adhering to host responsibilities, including the responsible sale of alcohol and food. Familiarity with golf is a plus, but not a requirement, as we're committed to training the right candidates. Responsibilities: • Process sales transactions and handle cash or card payments accurately. • Accept and process subscription payments. • Support the team in executing promotions and events at the golf shop. • Tend to playing requirements for members and guest players. • Maintain a clean and organised retail space; ensuring products are well-displayed and easily accessible. • Participate in inventory management and restocking of products. The successful applicant will: • Be available to work weekends. • Have an outgoing personality with a “can do” attitude. • Show initiative beyond needing to work from a daily “to do” list. • Retail sales and admin experience. • Collaborative spirit and willingness to work closely with a dynamic team. Ideal skills: • Have knowledge and a passion for Golf • Computers skills and experience with Word and Excel will help • Have Bar Managers Certificate We pride ourselves on providing warm hospitality in a friendly, inclusive environment.
