Full Job Description
Position Summary: The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for establishing and maintaining a relationship with current Members while attending to the day-to-day business needs of the Golf Shop and Golf Club. They will be working closely with the Head Golf Professional(s) in the Golf Shop promoting Tee Time options.

Position Responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with current members to encourage participation in club events and maintain a high level of member satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicates with management staff and associates to increase knowledge of membership goals, membership satisfaction, membership retention, and membership activities.
  • Meet and greet clients and visitors
  • Work to develop comprehensive knowledge of golf in decision-making, handling authority and setting meeting objectives
  • Skilled and proficient in all Golf training techniques
  • Assist in implementing an instruction and lesson platform for members and guests
  • Effectively communicates to guests
  • Sign for and distribute UPS/FedEx/Airborne Packages
  • Assist in monthly inventory reporting and calculations
  • Manage existing cart fleet and all cart management programs
  • Tangible knowledge of POS system (Jonas preferred) and Tee Sheet Management
  • Organization of all Tee Sheet activity for members, outside guests, and Academy Golf students
  • Coordination of all outside Golf Tournaments, working with clients to insure smooth transition from start to finish
  • Management of all outside and inside Golf staff
  • Assist in establishing policies and procedures for outside and inside Golf staff
  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, business or related field
  • Ability to assist in the organization and planning of events
  • Exceptional attention to details
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to interface with a variety of audiences
  • Ability to multi task in a fast-paced organization
  • Experience coaching and/or playing golf
  • Skills in training and instructing golf
  • A superior work ethic
  • Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
  • Masters degree in Accounting, Business, Sports Management or related field
  • Extensive knowledge of Golf Operations
  • CPR Certification
