Position Summary: The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for establishing and maintaining a relationship with current Members while attending to the day-to-day business needs of the Golf Shop and Golf Club. They will be working closely with the Head Golf Professional(s) in the Golf Shop promoting Tee Time options.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with current members to encourage participation in club events and maintain a high level of member satisfaction.
- Effectively communicates with management staff and associates to increase knowledge of membership goals, membership satisfaction, membership retention, and membership activities.
- Meet and greet clients and visitors
- Work to develop comprehensive knowledge of golf in decision-making, handling authority and setting meeting objectives
- Skilled and proficient in all Golf training techniques
- Assist in implementing an instruction and lesson platform for members and guests
- Effectively communicates to guests
- Sign for and distribute UPS/FedEx/Airborne Packages
- Assist in monthly inventory reporting and calculations
- Manage existing cart fleet and all cart management programs
- Tangible knowledge of POS system (Jonas preferred) and Tee Sheet Management
- Organization of all Tee Sheet activity for members, outside guests, and Academy Golf students
- Coordination of all outside Golf Tournaments, working with clients to insure smooth transition from start to finish
- Management of all outside and inside Golf staff
- Assist in establishing policies and procedures for outside and inside Golf staff
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelors degree in accounting, business or related field
- Ability to assist in the organization and planning of events
- Exceptional attention to details
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to interface with a variety of audiences
- Ability to multi task in a fast-paced organization
- Experience coaching and/or playing golf
- Skills in training and instructing golf
- A superior work ethic
- Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Masters degree in Accounting, Business, Sports Management or related field
- Extensive knowledge of Golf Operations
- CPR Certification
