Moruya Golf Club is looking to appoint a General Manager to build on the Club’s successes and ensure the operating practices of the Club are streamlined and sustainable into the future.

Moruya Golf Club is located on the far south coast of NSW in the Eurobodalla Shire. Moruya is a thriving town of around 7,500 people and retains its warm, village feel.

As our new General Manager you will be the figure head for the Club. The Club houses 47 EGMS and looks after a golf membership of 400 and a social membership of 1250 and a cohesive staff of around 35.

The Bistro is operated in-house and has great potential for growth with a new Head Chef about to begin.

The Board of Directors of Moruya Golf Club are looking forward to welcoming an experienced hospitality manager who is happy to be hands on whilst driving the business to continued future success.

Responsibilities of the role include;


Day to day management of all areas of the Club’s operations

Identifying and leading the Club into future opportunities.

Excellence in customer service delivery

Lead, manage and overseeing the financial reporting

Board reporting and board guidance

Managing and nurturing your teams to continued success

Communicating professionally with suppliers, stakeholders and patrons

Eligible to hold the liquor license

Sound computer literacy

To be successful you will meet the following criteria

Demonstrate strong experience in business management (preferably within a hospitality environment)

Have a sound knowledge and experience in gaming, catering, bar, club operations, Our systems are Ebet, Bepoz and MiClub knowledge of these is preferred but not essential

Possess a high level of business ethics and integrity

Demonstrate the ability to build on, lead and motivate effective teams to succeed and further develop the business

Be a visible manager who is present and shows genuine care of people and the business

Hold current RSA and RCG certificates (or ability to achieve these)

Be comfortable working at a higher level as well as being hands on in the business

Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors
