About the Club
Founded in 1922 and located in the heart of Brisbane’s bayside, Wynnum Golf Club is a long-standing and highly regarded golfing destination. The Club features a picturesque 18-hole layout across 31 hectares of parkland and enjoys a strong and engaged membership of more than 1,200.
Wynnum also boasts a vibrant hospitality and events offering, with a modern clubhouse including a bistro, members’ bar, gaming lounge (16 EGMs), and a popular function space that hosts weddings, events, and community gatherings.
As the Club continues to grow and evolve, we are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead all facets of the Club’s operations and drive the next chapter of strategic and cultural development.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the General Manager will have full responsibility for the operational, financial, and strategic leadership of Wynnum Golf Club.

Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing daily operations across golf, course maintenance, hospitality, events, gaming, and administration
Driving financial sustainability through effective budgeting, forecasting, and compliance
Leading and mentoring a multi-disciplinary team across various departments
Enhancing the overall member and guest experience, with a strong focus on customer service
Implementing marketing, branding, and membership growth initiatives
Supporting governance and strategic planning in collaboration with the Board
Acting as the Club’s Gaming Nominee and ensuring regulatory compliance (RMLV, RSA, RSG)
You are a dynamic, commercially minded leader with a passion for people, service excellence, and club culture.
To be successful, you’ll bring:
A proven track record in managing golf clubs, licensed venues, or membership-based organisations
Strong financial acumen, with demonstrated experience managing budgets, reporting, and profitability
Hands-on leadership style with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
A strategic mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with Boards and Committees
Experience in marketing, hospitality operations, and member engagement
Qualifications in business, hospitality, or club management (preferred)
Current RMLV, RSA, and RSG certification, or willingness to obtain
Competitive salary package (negotiable based on experience)
