Woodford Golf Club is located 45km northwest of Brisbane City, nestled in amongst national park and the D’Aguilar mountain range with a busy 18-hole facility golf course, large clubhouse with full bar facilities, 12 poker machines and a well stocked Golf Shop.
The facility boasts a community feel with over 650 members and regular social golfers.
The club is in a financially stable position enabling the Board to continue to improve the course and clubhouse facilities for its members, guests, and visitors.
We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and innovative person with strong communication and personal skills who can in collaboration with the Board, drive the club’s ambitions while managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the club.
The role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the achievement of club’s objectives and key results to ensure that the business and legislative requirements are met.
This includes a responsibility for directing and managing the club to ensure it is commercially orientated and viable in the long term, through the provision of cost-effective and high-quality services.

The role

This includes a responsibility for directing and managing the club to ensure it is commercially orientated and viable in the long term, through the provision of cost-effective and high-quality services.
This incorporates but is not limited to the following :
- Excellent understating of all departmental budgets
- Monitor departmental performance in line with budget expectations.
- Develop strategies to assist departments to meet their budget expectations.
- Arrange and conduct regular meetings with management staff.
- Produce agendas and action list for managers for staff.
- Produce agendas and action list for management and staff meetings.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Be aware of all state, federal and local government legislations concerning the operation of the club and its properties.
- Prepare monthly reports in the club’s operations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the club constitution and its by-laws.
- Create and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures in line with the club’s values.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification
- Approved Managers License
- Provide Responsible Service of Gaming Certificate
- Gaming Nominee License
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Advanced Diploma in Hospitality (management)
- Undertaking Club Management Studies (CMAA)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the hospitality industry
- Minimum 5 years in a management position
