Job Description:
As the Director of Golf, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the golfing experience at Frosty Valley. You will oversee all aspects of golf operations, from managing the golf shop to facilitating tournaments and ensuring the smooth flow of play on our course. This leadership role requires a keen understanding of golf management, exceptional customer service skills, and a passion for golf.
Key Responsibilities:
Golf Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day golf operations, including tee time reservations, equipment rentals, and course maintenance.
- Implement and enforce golf course policies and procedures to ensure an efficient and enjoyable experience for all players.
- Manage the golf shop, including inventory, sales, and merchandising.
- Provide excellent customer service to members and guests, addressing inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes golfing enjoyment for players of all levels.
- Recruit, train, and supervise golf staff, including pro shop employees, course marshals, and cart attendants.
- Develop and maintain a motivated and customer-focused team.
- Organize and coordinate golf tournaments, events, and outings.
- Ensure events run smoothly, from registration to post-event activities.
- Prepare and manage the golf department budget, monitoring expenses and revenue.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.
- Previous experience in golf course management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of golf operations, rules, and etiquette.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- PGA or PGM certification (preferred but not required).
- A passion for golf and a commitment to delivering a superior golfing experience.
