THE MCLEMORE CLUB

McLemore is a master-planned mountaintop community located atop Lookout Mountain in the heart of northwest Georgia. THE ROLE
  • Lead, develop, and grow the golf operations team ensuring elite service standards and total customer satisfaction.
  • Establish written golf operations policies and procedures, including related training programs to ensure consistency of elite service standards.
  • Coordinate all group and individual golf activities with the hotel.
  • Lead the Golf Professional(s) and ensure PGA professional development initiatives are met.
  • Schedule and chair regular staff meetings focused on members and guests of McLemore, service operations, revenue growth, cost containment, and continuous improvement.
  • Attend, as invited, committee and staff meetings representing the facility.
  • Develop/coordinate the development of annual business plans for the golf operation.
  • Coordinate and communicate clearly written correspondence, reporting, and newsletters.
  • Develop and oversee an innovative tournament schedule and golf activities program that services all segments.
  • Develop and oversee golf instruction, clinics, golf schools, and player development programs for all member and guest segments.
  • Develop and oversee a profitable merchandise concession that is consistent with member/guest demographics and needs.
  • Partner with marketing and member sales on golf-specific initiatives, including all promotional materials, play recruitment, yield management, golf packages, and events.
  • Drive fiscal performance for golf operations, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, and correction.
  • Play golf with Members/guests of all skill levels as time and duties permit
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience of a staff of 20 or more.
  • PGA Member in good standing.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
  • 2-4 years as a Head Golf Professional or Director of Golf at an elite service level, high-end private club or resort.
  • Strong leadership, diplomacy, communication, and professionalism skills to handle high-end client demands.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced work environment with frequent changes to daily operations.
  • Represent oneself as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees.
  • A skilled player/instructor to meet member and guest demands.
  • Collaborative, empathetic relationship-building capabilities with organizational peers.
