About Latrobe Golf Club
Latrobe Golf Club is a distinguished, member-owned private club located in Melbourne’s inner north. With a proud history and a progressive outlook, Latrobe offers an exceptional golfing experience through its 18-Hole Championship Course and is renowned for its strategic layout, pristine conditioning and engaging playability for golfers of all levels. Complementing this is the innovative Island 5-Hole Short Course, a unique and modern addition designed to promote skill development, social engagement and accessibility for all members.
The Club is currently undergoing a series of capital improvements aimed at enhancing member amenities, upgrading facilities and future-proofing our operations. These investments reflect Latrobe’s commitment to delivering a quality experience both on and off the course.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Golf will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the golf department. This includes:

- Tournament and event management
- Golf shop merchandising and financial oversight
- Staff recruitment, training and development

Key Selection Criteria
We are seeking a PGA-qualified professional or someone with tertiary qualifications in Sports or Business Management who brings:
- Proven leadership in golf operations and team management
- Deep knowledge of the game, its rules, etiquette and technologies
- A passion for member engagement across all demographics
- Strong financial acumen and merchandising experience
- Excellent communication, planning and problem-solving skills
- Availability for weekend work and flexibility for major Club events
