JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assisting the Custom Club Shop Operations Manager with the sales of golf equipment and merchandise, maintaining displays, and inventory and operation of the POS system. Provides a friendly, welcoming atmosphere which will encourage residents and guests to have an enjoyable and safe time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes, but not limited to)
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Provide information to guests.
  • Sell Golf merchandise.
  • Assist in the daily operation of the Custom Club Shop including, but not limited to, answering the phone, preparing, and processing paperwork, using the POS system for customer sales, scheduling appointments, greeting walk-in customers and guests, etc.
  • Maintain the Custom Club Shop to ensure that safe, clean, organized, and professional conditions exist.
  • Maintain equipment and displays in excellent condition.
  • Distribute demo clubs to customers and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Assist with the set-up and break-down at Demonstration Days, and work when needed.
  • Prepare and process paperwork related to the sale of custom golf clubs and club repair services.
  • Receive and deliver orders for custom golf clubs and merchandise.
  • Assist in marketing and promoting golf clubs and merchandise sales.
  • Assist in promoting club fitting, club repair services, and equipment sales, which includes golf clubs and teaching aids.
Additional
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • May be expected to perform additional duties in an emergency.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One (1) or more years of sales related experience and/or customer service experience.
MINIMUM CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
  • All candidates and employees must successfully pass background screening.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Includes, but not limited to)

Knowledge
  • Must have working knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, management practices and office procedures.
  • Must have working knowledge of computer.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of current golf equipment.
Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills.
Abilities
  • Ability to read/write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
EQUIPMENT (Includes, but not limited to)

Position regularly requires the use of office equipment, including but not limited to telephones, computers and productivity software.

  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.

  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Personal protective equipment must be always worn if the job requires such equipment.
