Introduction
Job Purpose:

To maintain and enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of Blue Valley Estate by identifying and addressing untidy gardens, vacant stands, and construction sites, ensuring a clean, safe, and visually pleasing environment for all residents.



Objective:

To uphold and enhance the visual standards of Blue Valley Estate, contributing to property value retention and a high-quality living environment for all residents.



Working Conditions:

Outdoor work in various weather conditions.

May require walking long distances within the estate and performing physically demanding tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections of the estate to identify stands with overgrown gardens, untidy construction sites, or general neglect.

Cut grass and trim overgrown vegetation on identified stands.

Neaten and maintain vacant stands and construction sites to HOA standards.

Remove rubble, building materials, and general refuse from identified areas.

Ensure shade netting on construction sites is properly secured and presentable.

Clean and tidy curb sides, including edging and trimming where necessary.

Carry out litter picking in and around identified stands and common areas.

Ensure bins and waste areas are kept clean and orderly where applicable.

Report non-compliant properties to the HOA management for further action.

Maintenance of all cycle track, playground and common areas

Assist in adhoc work

Monitor and address illegal dumping or unauthorised storage of materials on stands.

Assist in maintaining common areas, walkways, and open spaces as required.

Identify and report potential health and safety hazards (e.g., broken glass, sharp objects, stagnant water).

Ensure that all work is carried out in an environmentally responsible manner.

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Collection of garden refuse and dumping.


Additional Duties:

Assist with special estate clean-up campaigns and community initiatives.

Support other maintenance teams when required.

Provide feedback and recommendations to improve overall estate cleanliness and presentation.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements:

Matric.

Driver’s License

Clear criminal background

Experience of trees, plants and turf management

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays

Ability to safely handle chemicals and equipment

Basic knowledge of garden and landscape maintenance.

Ability to operate gardening tools and equipment.

Physically fit and able to perform manual labour.

Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying issues.

Good communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Cleanliness and visual standard of identified stands and surrounding areas.

Timely identification and resolution of aesthetic issues.

Reduction in resident complaints related to untidy properties.

Proper maintenance and care of equipment.
