Located 30 minutes from Warrnambool and 2 and half hours from Melbourne the Cobden Golf Club is seeking to appoint and experienced hospitality professional as Venue Manager.
The Cobden Golf Club is a well established community club, providing sporting and social facilities to members and visitors. Our facilities boast a picturesque 14 hole golf course, 28 machine gaming room, bars, family bistro and function room suitable for weddings, social events, corporate functions.
The Board is seeking to appoint an experienced hospitality professional as Venue Manager to manage the overall running of the venue. Reporting to the Board responsibilities will include overseeing the operations of the club facilities including staff development, training, rosters and staff recruitment, reporting and making recommendations to the Board on administration and operational matters.
The successful applicant will possess excellent customer service standards and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and lead the team are essential for this position. A sound understanding of food, beverage and gaming operations is necessary.
Sound computer skills, experience in computerised POS systems and an enthusiastic, friendly personality together with current industry accreditations including TAB, RSG, RSA and a current gaming licence are also essential.
This is a hands-on position, the successful applicant will be required to work hospitality hours within the business, including both bar and gaming shifts. A working knowledge and understanding of both gaming and liquor legislation is essential.
