Overview
A hidden gem, the Valley View Golf Course is just a 45 minute drive from Nelson or Castlegar through the beautiful Slocan Valley on Highway Six. Valley View is a nine hole course with separate tees for the back nine. A round of eighteen holes plays as a 5,411 yard, par 70 course that contains sand traps and some water hazards and offers rewarding enjoyment for golfers of any caliber.
Job Description
Carrying out the scheduled maintenance tasks as directed by the Superintendent. Such tasks could include:
– Cut greens, repair pitch marks and pick up debris
– Cut tee boxes and collars, pick up broken tees and debris
– Cut fairways & rough
– Irrigating (operating water system, hand watering)
– Weed whack and hand mow, as and where needed e.g.by Clubhouse, highway/gate, flower beds, trees and other objects, driveway.
– Trim and clean up under trees; trim around sprinkler heads
– Fill ball washers; put out and bring in ball washers
– Put out and bring in signs on course
– Put out and bring in sand for tee boxes
– Move holes on greens
– Move tee markers
– Rake bunkers and weeding
– Pick up outside garbage and recyclables
– Any other general golf course maintenance needs
Experience
Experience in golf course maintenance is definitely considered an asset.

Salary: From $33,508.58 per year
