As an Assistant Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Superintendent, with the overall maintenance of the golf course and supervision of staff Your responsibilities will include:
- Assistant Superintendent will have a 2 or 4 Year Degree or Diploma in Turf Grass or a Min Turf grass registered short program with 3 to 5 years work experience in
- Collaborating daily with Superintendent to ensure regular maintenance jobs and projects are completed on time, on a daily basis
- Monitoring and enforcing safety protocols and regulations.
-Manageing and assisting Superintendent in hireing and training of staff on an on going basis
- Coordinating and scheduling staff for all aspects of on course maintenance
- Must be capable of maintenance and repair of a new Rainbird Irrigation System
- Must be willing and able to perform mechanical repairs when needed on golf course equipment
- Must be willing to learn all aspects of reel grinding and set up of course equipment
- Utilizing office computers systems for maintaining and recording daily IPM and Pesticide useage and applications, as well as fertilizer and nutrition programs. Must have IPM agent current status, and current Pesticide License.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of equipment operation in all areas of maintenance
- Proficiency in Irrigation maintenance and repair, and Installation
- Ability to perform all spraying Tasks given by Superintendent
- Experience with chainsaw and license is a must have
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to job completion
- Effective communication skills to manage and lead staff in a cost effective manner
- Ability to perform mechanical tasks, when necessary along with strong knowledge of hand tools use, such as hand grinders, air tools ,hand files
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in the Turf industry -Must be familiar with Tractor operation, with the use of 3 point hitch mounted equipment -Must be able to work overtime when needed -Must be an early riser, with the ability to be on time ,have your own transportation, Trustworthy , so that you could be a key carrier
