Overview
Briar Ridge is a 27-Hole Private Country Club. Property features 27 championship golf holes, 2 driving ranges, 2 practice greens, Bocce Courts, Tennis Courts, Swimming Pool, Men’s Lounge, Ladies Lounge, Multiple Banquet Options, Multiple Food Outlets, and a stand alone golf shop. Golf shop Simulator installed for the winter months.
Briar Ridge is the premier Country Club in Northwest Indiana and is currently holding a waiting list for new members.
BRCC currently has 700+ Members and does over 25,000 rounds per year.
This position executes essential functions of golf-professional responsibilities. Assist Head Professional in the management of all golf operations and staff.
The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow this position into the Head Golf Professional.
Experience Required
High School diploma
Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
Experience in private golf operations preferred
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of related applications
Good golf skills/competitive golf experience
Teaching experience preferred
Must be eligible to obtain a liquor license
Essential Responsibilities
Assistant Golf Professionals must be good communicators and be patient, friendly and outgoing.
Be informed and promote all activities and services.
Assist Head Professional in instructing, merchandising, on-course, golf car, and personnel-management responsibilities.
Control and manage play on a private golf course.
Maintain pro shop inventory-control system.
Manage Golf Car Fleet.
Assist members/guests by providing and interpreting golf policies, rules, and regulations.
Provide lessons to all members/guests.
Conduct Golf Clinics.
Manage Junior Golf Program and PGA Junior League.
Manage the handicap program.
Operate pro shop in absence of the Head Professional.

Lesson Income (100%) = 6,000 - 12,000 (Teaching 12 months)
PGA Junior League = 2,000
Junior Golf Program = 1,500
Club Repair = 1,000
Outing Bonus = $2/player (2,000)
Golf Shop Yearly Gratuity = 500
Clothing Allowance = 500
Education Allowance = 1,000 - 2,000
PGA Dues Paid, Participant in Staff Holiday Fund, Meals on Duty, Equipment Paid through Vendors
