Job Description
Reporting to the Head Men's Golf Coach, the Assistant Coach will be responsible for assisting in allphases of a Division I Intercollegiate Men's Golf program including, but not limited to:
Promoting the philosophy and objectives ofthe University of Missouri Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, including adhering to all Departmental, University, SEC and NCAA rulesand regulations.
Demonstrate the ability to relate to, and motivate, student-athletes and to work with a variety of university staff,alumni, and the outside community.
Assisting in development of the overall student-athlete experience by mentoring student-athletes,including evaluating their performance in practice and competition while providing leadership and instruction in areas of deficiencies asrequired.
Assisting with evaluation of prospective student-athletes, implementing recruiting strategy, on-campus visits, off-campusevaluation and visits at the direction of the Head Coach.
Participating in the collection and analysis of tactical and statisticaldata of competition golf courses and tournaments, golf course strategies, and tournament strategies.
Performing other duties orresponsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach and/or the assigned sport administrator or Director of Athletics.
The successfulcandidate will have demonstrated experience in off-campus recruiting, budgeting, strong organization skills, excellent communication skills,expertise in social media, in addition to strong leadership abilities.
Salary
Salary is commensurate witheducation and experience.
Shift
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel asrequired.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combinationof education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired isnecessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: Three years of prior coaching experience in aNCAA or NJCA Golf Program.
