The Assistant Brand Manager is a highly-motivated and enthusiastic teammate responsible for supporting the development of marketing strategies and executions that build equity, brand love and cultural relevancy for the GOLF GALAXY & DICK'S Sporting Goods golf brand, a values-driven brand that believes sports have the power to change lives. This crucial role is at the forefront of everything we do and has the unique opportunity to truly shape how athletes view the GOLF GALAXY & DICK'S Sporting Goods golf brand and the role we play in the world. Through collaboration with internal and external partners, a deep understanding of our target athlete, and innovative thinking, the Assistant Brand Manager supports the creation of impactful, holistic marketing campaigns and targeted activations.

The Assistant Brand Manager is a highly-motivated and enthusiastic teammate responsible for supporting the development of marketing strategies and executions that build equity, brand love and cultural relevancy for the GOLF GALAXY & DICK'S Sporting Goods golf brand, a values-driven brand that believes sports have the power to change lives. This crucial role is at the forefront of everything we do and has the unique opportunity to truly shape how athletes view the GOLF GALAXY & DICK'S Sporting Goods golf brand and the role we play in the world. Through collaboration with internal and external partners, a deep understanding of our target athlete, and innovative thinking, the Assistant Brand Manager supports the creation of impactful, holistic marketing campaigns and targeted activations.
Deepen Customer Connection with the Brand:
- Understand current consumer perception of our brand and develop strategies that can evolve this perception to better align with our vision of being the best sports company in the world
- Build marketing campaigns and targeted activations that reinforce our brand values and unique positioning
- Maintain a pulse on industry (marketing, media, retail) trends and sports culture to effectively develop disruptive activations and campaign ideas that make an impact with our consumers
- Provide branded content-level insights on product video engagement and trends
Manage Campaign & Activation Development Process:
- Align on high-level strategy with Brand leadership team, helping to inform annual plans
- Foster collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners including Category Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, Media, E-Comm, Store Operations, Legal, and Visual, as well as vendor & agency partners
- Lead campaign development with clarity by ensuring all partners are kept up to date on the latest information and project milestones are met, while keeping leadership team updated on pertinent details
- Consolidate feedback and facilitate clear next steps coming out of key meetings
- Conduct hindsight report in partnership with Customer Analytics teams and use such insights to drive decision making for future campaigns
- Partner with eComm and media teams to develop go-to-market strategies to leverage product videos on DICKS.com and other channels (e.g. social)
Manage the Health & Integrity of the Brand:
- Ensure that all activities & communications tie back to GOLF GALAXY & DICK'S golf unique brand identity
- Partner with the Customer Insights team to monitor brand health measures and ideate on strategies to help advance them
- Support the development strategies to broaden the appeal of the GOLF GALAXY & DICK'S golf brand to a diverse set of consumers
- Serve as the voice of our brand beliefs and guide brand positioning on various projects throughout the organization
Support Brand Execution Across the Website and App:
- As needed, support key brand executions on the website and app. Serve as the brand point of contact for major brand homepage designs.
- Set-up and lead recurring partnership meetings with eComm marketing team Help manage brand eComm campaign development and executions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising
- 3-5 years of experience
