About us: Queens Park Golf Club is situated in the heart of Invercargill and provides members, families, and visitors with a quality golf experience within a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Key Responsibilities: • Enhancing the golf experience for all members and visitors • Implementation of strategic, business, marketing and financial plans • Liaison between the Board and Operating Committees • Sponsorship and grants funding • Maintaining and growing relationships within the community, council and sporting associations Key Functions: • Management of the club’s financial function, including monthly reports, payroll, debtors, creditors, invoicing, banking and cash management • Preparation of budgets • Manage the club’s legislative requirements such as GST, PAYE, bar licences, etc • Maintain the club’s insurance requirements • Marketing of the club and growth of membership • Communication with members, stakeholders and other interested parties • Source additional funding to grow the club. • Management of membership database, including NZ DotGolf system • Reporting to the board at monthly meetings • Oversee the club’s health and safety policy • Provide information to potential members and visitors looking to host functions at the club • Work from the club’s pro-shop and take green fees • Promote the club • Represent the club as required • All other tasks as required Key Skills - Xero - Microsoft suite - Administrative systems - Communication - Golf knowledge is useful but not essential - Problem solving - Creativity - Social media platform knowledge - - Retail Reports to: Board Chair Hours: 25 Per Week Direct reports: None Relationships: Board Committees Members Community Funders Suppliers Sponsors Visitors Auditors Start Date: ASAP
